Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of developmental feedback management in preventing hospital-acquired pressure injury in resuscitated patients in the emergency department. Methods: Patients admitted to the emergency room in our hospital from January to November 2017 were included in the control group, and patients admitted from January to November 2018 were included in the experimental group. Patients in the control group were with routine management and those in the experimental group were with developmental feedback management. The incidence, severity and area of pressure injury were compared between the two groups. Results: There were 2341 and 2804 patients in control group and intervention group respectively. Compared with the control group, there were a lower incidence of hospital-acquired pressure injury (P=0.002), a lower level of the severity of stress injury (P=0.021), and a smaller area of stress injury (P=0.049) in patients in the intervention group. Conclusion: The developmental feedback management is an effective management way to prevent the incidence of hospital-acquired pressure injury in resuscitated patients in the emergency department.
