Abstract: Objective: To construct a scheme for the prevention and sustainable effect evaluation of Vessel Catheter Associated Infection (VCAI). Methods: Using the Ottawa Model of Research Use as a guidance, the promotion and obstacle factors of scheme construction were determined based on the on-site review, and the evidence-based practice scheme was constructed from three aspects: evidence, potential adopters and practice environment. Upon two rounds of evidence-based practices, a stable scheme for the prevention and sustainable effect evaluation of VCAI was gradually established and formed. Results: After two rounds of knowledge transform practice, from the point of system, the four-level management framework of VCAI prevention has been constructed and improved. From the point of potential adopters, the implementation rate of various operations of operators has improved. From the point of patients, the incidence of VCAI continued to decrease. Conclusion: The scheme for the prevention and sustainable effect evaluation of VCAI based on the Ottawa Model of Research Use is conducive to reduce the incidence of VCAI, which is worthy of clinical application.
