Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status of nurses' compliance with Catheter-Related Blood Stream Infection (CRBSI) prevention measures during the indwelling needle insertion session and analyze the influencing factors. Methods: From December 4, 2021 to January 14, 2022, 270 nurses were selected from 21 hospitals in Hunan province. A self-made "CRBSI priority prevention measures in the indwelling needle insertion session questionnaire" was used to investigate. Results: The compliance score of nurses' CRBSI prevention measures during indwelling needle insertion session was 89.20±15.19, and the correct implementation rate of six dimensions in descending order was "selection of disinfectant" (98.89%), "selection of venous catheter" (96.67%), "catheter fixation" (91.85%), "optimal puncture site selection" (88.52%), "hand hygiene" (85.93%), and "skin disinfection" (73.33%). Multiple linear regression results showed that the availability of training and the number of tubes placed per week were the factors influencing nurses' compliance with CRBSI prevention measures during the indwelling needle insertion session, accounted for 35.7% of total variation. Conclusion: Clinical nurses' compliance with CRBSI prevention measures during indwelling needle insertion was good. Nursing managers need to strengthen nurses' training on the standardized use of indwelling needle insertion to address weaknesses and regularly assess nurses' work intensity and work quality to reduce the occurrence of CRBSI.
