Abstract: Objective: To construct an effective nursing administration model in Fangcang hospitals to ensure patients' safety. Methods: We established the joint nursing department, formulated the nursing quality management standards in Fangcang hospitals, and organized the time-segmented supervision method in different periods during the day, therefore to comprehensively monitor the nursing care quality through the process. Results: Through time-segmented supervision by a joint nursing effort, the rate of unimplemented items was decreased from the initial 46.43% to 0.07%, and the satisfaction rate was increased from 96.07% to 99.44% among patients who were discharged from the hospitals. The number of reported nursing adverse events was zero. Conclusion: The time-segmented nursing administration model through joint nursing during the day can realize the homogenization of nursing related works, promptly and effectively solve the nursing quality issues in Fangcang hospitals, therefore improve the quality of nursing and patients' safety efficiently.
