Abstract: This article reviews of the epidemiological characteristics, classification, influencing factors of neonatal skin lesion, as well as the content and application status of the risk assessment tools. It is found that scholars have different classification of neonatal skin injury and risk factors. The definition of neonatal skin injury is not clear enough. The incidence of neonatal skin lesions has not been fully documented, and it has been mixed with the incidence of children. The existing risk assessment tools for neonatal skin injury cannot meet clinical needs. A larger database is needed to accurately measure the epidemiological characteristics of neonatal skin injury, and it is necessary to develop a neonatal skin risk assessment tool that meets the clinical needs in China.
