Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status and influencing factors of Fear of Progression (FoP) in patients with advanced lung cancer, in order to provide theoretical basis for subsequent interventional studies. Methods: FoP, symptom experience, family support and health literacy were investigated in 220 patients with stageⅢb toⅣ lung cancer in a tertiary grade A hospital by convenience sampling. Binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors. Results: The incidence of dysfunctional FoP was 31.8%. Logistic regression analysis showed that monthly household income, clinical stage at initial diagnosis, symptom distress, family support and health literacy were the influencing factors of dysfunctional FoP in patients with advanced lung cancer. Conclusion: Patients with advanced lung cancer have a high incidence of dysfunctional FoP. Clinical nurses should develop interventions based on symptom distress, family support, and health literacy to control the FoP at a normal level.
