International social media use guidelines for nurses and its implications for China

Abstract: Nurses' inappropriate behaviors on social media have arisen extensive discussion in China in these years. This article introduces social media use guidelines for nurses from International Nurse Regulatory Collaboration (INRC), National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) of the USA, Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) of the UK and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Based on these guidelines and the current situation in China, specific suggestions on nursing ethical regulation have been brought up and discussed, so as to provide reference for social media use of nurses.
