Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of standard precautions on Multidrug-Resistant Organism (MDRO) infection in clinical setting. Methods: By analyzing the effects of hand hygiene, isolation measures, cleaning and disinfecting environmental surfaces and equipment on the prevention and control of MDRO infection in patients, summarize the effect of standard precautions on MDRO infection in clinical prevention and control. Results: Hand hygiene is an important means to prevent and control MDRO infection. The proper use of protective equipment can reduce the incidence of MDRO infection. The cleaning and disinfection of environmental objects and medical equipment can effectively cut off the MDRO transmission between patients. Conclusion: Standard precautions can effectively prevent and control MDRO infection, and will play an increasingly important role as healthcare infection prevention and control work deepens.
