Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effects of nursing intervention used to reduce the adverse events of insulin pump in non-endocrinology department. Methods: A nursing task force was set up to carry out the project action of "reducing adverse events of non-endocrine insulin pump", comparing the adverse events of non-endocrine insulin pump and the pass rate of insulin pump nursing quality indicator for inpatient before and after the intervention. Results: The incidence of adverse events of insulin pump was significantly decreased in patients using insulin pump in non-endocrinology department (P<0.05), and the qualified rate of nursing quality index of insulin pump was significantly increased (P<0.05). Conclusion: Application of nursing project improvement is helpful to the link quality control of patients with insulin pump in non-endocrinology, increasing the pass rate of insulin pump nursing quality indicator for inpatient, and reducing the incidence of adverse events; helping to achieve standardized management of non-endocrine insulin pumps and ensure patient safety.
