Abstract: Objectives: To establish the obstetric management based on the workload distribution characteristics, and to provide references for obstetric safety quality management. Methods: The obstetrics management model was improved to solve the outstanding management problem in the obstetric department. Results: The management model based on the workload distribution characteristics effectively alleviated the problem of human resource shortage and the busy work during the transition period, and improved the nursing ability to the critically ill pregnant women. Conclusion: The management model based on the workload distribution characteristics is effective for better nursing quality and maternal and child safety in obstetric department.
