Abstract: Objective: To understand nurses' support needs of a practice environment related to psychological resilience to provide a reference for development of effective intervention plans. Methods: The study used a descriptive qualitative research approach guided by the HSWERM model. Purposive sampling was used to recruit 21 nurses from a tertiary grade A hospital in Beijing and face-to-face semi-structured interviews were conducted among these nurses. Results: Through analysis, a total of 3 themes and 10 subthemes were identified. A total of 3 themes included the magnetic needs of career support and development, rationalized needs for practical support and development, and human cultural needs for personal support and development. Conclusion: Nursing managers should make relevant policies and measures to improve nurses' practice environment according to their real needs regarding the occupational, practical and personal levels of the practice environment related to psychological resilience. Hopefully, the psychological resilience level of nurses will be ultimately improved.
