Abstract: Objective: To construct a PICC unplanned extubation risk assessment index system for cancer patients, and to provide a more accurate and effective assessment tool for clinical nurses. Methods: A research group was established to screen the indicators through literature review, semi-structured interviews and group discussion. The Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process were used to determine the risk assessment index and the weights of each index. Results: After 2 rounds of expert consultation, the PICC unplanned extubation risk assessment index system for cancer patients was constructed, which included 4 first-level indicators, 17 second-level indicators and 27 third-level indicators. Conclusion: The risk assessment index system for unplanned extubation of PICC in cancer patients constructed in this study is practical and generalizable, and can provide reference for nurses to evaluate the PICC unplanned extubation risk in cancer patients accurately and effectively.
