Abstract: Objective: To investigate the prevalence of cognitive frailty in Maintenance Hemodialysis patients and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods: A total of 452 Maintenance Hemodialysis patients in 3 hospitals of Lianyungang were selected as the study subjects. The Frailty Phenotype, Mini-Mental State Examination and Clinical Dementia Rating were used to screen for cognitive frailty. The relevant clinical data were collected, and the influencing factors of cognitive frailty were analyzed. Results: Ninety-three patients (20.6%) had cognitive frailty. Logistic regression analysis showed that advanced age, female, larger waist circumference, malnutrition and depression were risk factors for cognitive frailty. Higher education level and serum creatinine level were protective factors for cognitive frailty (P<0.05). Conclusion: The prevalence of cognitive frailty in Maintenance Hemodialysis patients is high. Medical staff should pay more attention to this population, identify early and take targeted intervention.
