Abstract: Objective: To systematically evaluate the real feelings of delirium in postoperative cardiac surgery patients, aiming to provide reference for the development of targeted psychological interventions. Methods: We searched databases to collect information on the real feelings of delirium in postoperative cardiac surgery patients from their inception to October 31, 2024. The literature was evaluated using the assessment criteria for qualitative research issued by Australian JBI Center for Evidence-Based Health Care, and we integrated the results by the pooled integration method. Results: A total of 8 papers were included to extract 33 outcomes which were grouped into 9 categories to synthesize 3 integrative outcomes: self-symptom perception, emotional sequelae, and diverse needs. Conclusion: Patients with delirium after cardiac surgery face both physical and psychological challenges and difficulties, which will affect their lives for a long time. The real experience of delirium in postoperative cardiac surgery patients should be understood in a timely manner. Timely understanding and attention should be paid to the real needs of postoperative delirium patients in cardiac surgery, providing corresponding support and assistance to improve patient prognosis.
