Abstract: Apathy is one of the most common neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with dementia and assessing the patient's apathy symptoms timely and effectively and giving targeted treatment and interventions can improve outcome. In this paper, the common assessment tools of apathy in dementia patients were reviewed from the perspective of single dimension and multi-dimension, including the development process, the object of application, measurement content, reliability and validity, the application status, etc., aiming to provide a reference for Chinese scholars to select appropriate assessment tools of apathy.
