Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effect of complication early warning model in breast cancer patients undergoing day chemotherapy for the first time. Methods: A total of 86 patients with breast cancer who received chemotherapy for the first time in the oncology internal medicine day ward from January to December 2020 were selected, and divided into control group (n=42) and experimental group (n=44) according to the admission time. In the experimental group, the early warning model of chemotherapy complications nursing information platform was used from the second day to the fourteenth day after discharge, while the control group was given routine telephone follow-up and consultation guidance. The intervention effect of the two groups was compared with the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events 4.0 and the quality of life of breast cancer patients. Results: The grade of complications during intermission of chemotherapy in the experimental group were lower than that of the control group, and the grade of leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, vomiting were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The grade of constipation in the experimental group was significantly lower after the intervention (P<0.05). The quality of life of breast cancer patients in the experimental group (112.73±4.33) was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The chemotherapy complications warning model can lower the grade of chemotherapy complications in breast cancer patients during intermission of chemotherapy, improve the quality of life, and worthy of clinical promotion.
