Abstract: Parents of newborns are often required to make critical decisions in situations such as initiating active resuscitation, selecting invasive treatment options, and formulating long-term care and prognostic plans, and are prone to decisional conflict. Shared decision-making, through structured information exchange and values clarification, can significantly reduce such conflict and enhance satisfaction. This review summarizes the concepts, theoretical model, assessment instruments and influencing factors of shared decision-making, and proposes targeted practical recommendations to provide reference for clinical practice and future research on shared decision-making in the field of neonatal nursing in China.
