Abstract: Objective: To systematically evaluate and analyze the barriers to self-volume management in patients with heart failure, aiming to provide a reference for the clinical intervention of volume management in patients with heart failure. Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in several databases to retrieve articles related to self-volume management in patients with heart failure from the databases inception to May 10, 2025. The quality of the included articles was evaluated according to the qualitative research quality evaluation criteria of JBI. Convergent integration method was used for data analysis. Results: A total of 15 articles were included, with 62 themes extracted and classified into 8 categories, which were synthesized into three integrated results, including complex physiological states, negative emotions and psychological states, and multiple social and cultural factors. Conclusion: Self-volume management in heart failure patients is influenced by multiple factors. It is recommended that subsequent interventions can be developed based on the findings to improve the volume management status in heart failure patients.
