Abstract: Objective: To explore the clinical application effect of health coaching technology in patients with neurogenic bladder, in order to provide reference for improving the self-management level of patients. Methods: Using convenient sampling method, 60 patients with neurogenic bladder from January 2023 to December 2024 in a tertiary grade A hospital in Hunan province were selected as the research objects, and were divided into control group and intervention group according to the time of admission. The patient admitted in 2023 were the control group, while those admitted in 2024 were the intervention group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the intervention group received health coaching technical intervention on the basis of routine nursing, and the effect was evaluated. Results: After 4 weeks of intervention, the total score for general self-management ability in the intervention group (151.13±9.47) was significantly higher than that in the control group (105.37±7.88) (P<0.001). The residual urine volume in the intervention group [143.50 (118.50, 237.50) mL] was significantly lower than that in the control group [360.00 (227.25, 415.00) mL] (P<0.001).There was significant difference in the qualitative results of routine urine white blood cell counts between the two groups (P<0.001). Conclusion: The application of health coaching techniques in patients with neurogenic bladder is conducive to the recovery of bladder function and reduce the incidence of urinary tract infection, which can effectively improve the self-management level of patients.
