Abstract: Health economic evaluation has continuously been applied in clinical practices, and recent years have witnessed the gradual development of such evaluation in the management of chronic wounds. This study mainly reviewed the indexes regarding input cost and output effects of chronic wounds, the application of economic evaluation in dealing with different types of chronic wounds, and nurses' roles during the process, so as to provide corresponding basis for clinical decision-making.
