Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of implementation of quality management over integrated nursing that combining traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of advanced cancer pain. Methods: Totally 78 hospitalized patients with advanced cancer pain from January to December of 2015 were selected as the control group, while 69 hospitalized patients from January 2016 to January 2017 were selected as the experimental group. On the basis of standardized treatment in the control group, patients in the experimental group also received integrated nursing care that combining traditional Chinese and western medicine under nursing quality management. Results: On the 10th day of admission, score of pain relief, occurance of breakthrough pain and quality score of life were better in the experimental group than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Quality management over integrated nursing that combining traditional Chinese and western medicine can effectively control cancer pain and improve patients' quality of life, which is worthy to be used in the standardized management of cancer pain.
