Abstract: Objective: The aim of this study was to discuss the method that could develop and optimize the human resource distribution of operating room nursing. Methods: Auxiliary nurses were publicly recruited and have been systematically trained and evaluated to implement unprofessional and indirect operating room nursing practice which used to be completed by conventional operating room registered nurse. Results: This reformation have established a relatively stable and highly qualified nurse assistant team. In the premise that ensures nursing safety, it have reduced human resources costs, improved working efficiency and operating room nursing satisfaction. Conclusion: High-qualified auxiliary nurses could be responsible for unprofessional and indirect operating room nursing work.
