Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effect of junior nurses training by combination of Problem-originated Clinical Medical Curriculum (PCMC) with Case Based Teaching (CBT). Methods: Totally 96 junior nurses rotating in the Infections Department were selected and randomly divided into two groups (control group and experimental group, 48 cases in each group). The nurses in experimental group were trained by combination of PCMC with CBT, while the nurses in control group were trained with traditional methods. After 2-month training, nurses' examination score, their evaluation of training methods, and patients'assessment of nursing were compared between groups. Results: These three parameters in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: Combination of PCMC with CBT could improve comprehensive capability of junior nurses effectively; improve training quality and patients' satisfaction to nurses.
