Abstract: Objective: To analyze the training needs of pediatric nurses under clinical ladder program. Methods: A selfdesigned training needs questionnaire was used to investigate 810 pediatric nurses in our hospital. Results: Overall, they had high level of training needs. The score of clinical practice ability needs was the highest, and the score of nursing management needs was the lowest. There was a decreasing tendency of training needs with the promotion of pediatric nurses' level. The nurses in different level also had and diversity training needs including training content and method. Conclusion: Nursing managers should strengthen the training of pediatric nurses and pay attention to the differences in training demands of nurses in different levels.A systematic, diversified, specific and prospective training program is thus needed to satisfy the needs of pediatric nurses at all levels, and improve training efficiency.
