Abstract: Objective: Guided by the needs of clinical practice and venous training management, a special training course for prevention of Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI) was constructed based on ADDIE model, which was applied to clinical practice and evaluated its application effect. Methods: A special training group for bloodstream infection was established. According to ADDIE model, a special training course for prevention of venous bloodstream infection was designed and developed by combining literature research and Delphi expert consultation, and theoretical and practical training was conducted for all nurses in the hospital. The level of knowledge, faith and practice of clinical nurses in preventing CLABSI, the standard implementation rate of CLABSI prevention measures and the incidence of CLABSI were compared before and after training. Results: Special training courses covering knowledge, attitude and skills were designed and completed, including 15 specific training courses. After the training, the level of knowledge, belief and practice of clinical nurses and the standard implementation rate of CLABSI prevention measures increased, the incidence of CLABSI decreased, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The special training design of CLABSI based on ADDIE model is practical and scientific, which can help to improve the knowledge, belief and practice level of CLABSI of clinical nurses, improve the standard implementation rate of standardized infection prevention measures of CLABSI, reduce the incidence of CLABSI, and provide reference for the standardization of intravenous transfusion safety management in China.
