Clinical nurses' experience of exercise rehabilitation guidance: a qualitative study

Abstract: Objective: To explore the process and needs of clinical nurses to implement exercise rehabilitation guidance, and to provide references for improving and enhancing the quality of exercise rehabilitation guidance. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 19 clinical nurses, and the data were analyzed by using Colaizzi's seven-step method. Results: Four themes were refined: responsibility and motivation coexist; individualization and diversity; teamwork and recognition; need for self-growth and external support. Conclusion: Strengthening professional training, increasing professional standards, and further clarifying nurses' responsibilities, powers, and benefits can help to motivate nurses to work and improve their effectiveness.
