Abstract

Abstract: Occupational safety and health is the prevention of occupational injuries and health hazards happened in the workplace, to ensure the staff safety. To cater for the growing expectations, strategic plan was formulated covering the systematic identification of occupational hazards in the hospital. By introducing the international accreditation programme and strengthening the collaborative partnership with the Hong Kong Queen Mary Hospital, the hospital safety management and emergency response systems were established which put great emphasis on addressing the hazards and risks that were identified. This also showed the commitment of hospital management and as a role model of healthcare institutes.
