Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status and influence factors of' role stress of nurses in the second trimester of pregnancy in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 152 second-gestation nurses in 6 third-grade general hospitals in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region using general information questionnaire, Chinese version of nursing staff role conflict and role fuzzy scale. Results: The scores of the stress scale among 152 second-pregnancy nurses were 58.42±7.56. The influencing factors were the number of night shifts each month, ethnic groups, department and support from the peer group. Conclusion: The role stress of pregnant nurses is at medium level. Nursing managers should reduce the workload and provide more support to the nurses during pregnancy.
