Abstract: This paper reviewed the conception, assessment tools and application of physician-nurse collaboration in China and aboard, expecting to provide reference for choosing and developing physician-nurse collaboration assessment tools. We recommended that we should evaluate the physician-nurse collaboration level periodically and included the physician-nurse collaboration assessment into the nurses' working environment evaluation system in order to enhance the physician-nurse collaboration, improve patient care quality and nurses' working environment.
