Abstract: Venous Thromboembolism is a common vascular disease which is difficult to be cured. It is also the most common complication among hospitalized patients with high morbidity and mortality and has become a worldwide public health problem. In order to improve the preventive effect of Venous Thromboembolism, this article reviewed an effective prevention method recommended by the domestic and foreign scholars, including basic prevention, drug prevention and physical prevention. We also discussed the prevention methods according to the low, middle, high, and high risk groups in order to improve the prevention awareness among medical staff and patients, and reduce the incidence of Venous Thromboembolism effectively.
