Abstract: Objective: To introduce the project management method to optimize outpatient blood drawn service. Method: Using project management theory and method, research and analysis to find the reasons, optimize the outpatient blodd drawn services by adjusting staffing needs, improving protocols and better risk management ultimately resolving the long waiting time for blood drawn services. Results: By applying the project management method, the average waiting time decreased from 60 minute to 15 minutes,75.0% down compare to before; the score of patient satisfaction increased from 88 to 98; patient complaints rate decreased from 4.0% to 0.5%. Conclusion: Application of project management method can improve the efficiency and quality of outpatient service,improve the patient satisfaction.
