Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect on self-efficacy with advanced prostate cancer patients by chronic disease management based on self-management model oriented 5A. Methods: Totally 80 outpatients with advanced prostate cancer were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, the experimental group using the self-management model oriented 5A based on Traditional Chinese Medicine characteristics and chronic disease management, the control group with conventional outpatient using follow-up management. We used the general self-efficacy scale to analysis the two groups self-efficacy and satisfaction situation. Results: The two groups in the self-efficacy, satisfaction were significantly (P<0.05).Conclusion: Based on the self-management model oriented 5A significantly increased self-efficacy and patient satisfaction with advanced prostate cancer patients.
