Abstract: Objective: To explore the influencing factors of carrying out evidence-based nursing practice for clinical nurses and to provide reference for the development of clinical evidence-based nursing practice. Methods: Totally 431 nurses in tertiary Grade A hospitals were recruited using convenience sampling method and investigated by Development of Evidence-Based Practice Questionnaire (DEBPQ) among clinical nurses. Results: Formulating nursing measures on the basis of experience, lacking time to obtain the latest information, the difficulty of searching and using evidence, no supporting colleagues, and lacking confidence were the top factors. Conclusions: The nursing work depending on experience, nurses lacking ability of searching and using evidence, and no supporting working environment ,hinder the development of clinical evidence-based nursing practice. The hospital's administrators should build hospital organizational culture atmosphere, encourage nurses to deliver scientific research and technological innovation, give nurses' relevant training, and help them to learn how to search and use evidence,in order to improve nursing measures and the quality of nursing service.
