Abstract: Objective: To investigate the fear of disease progression among caregivers of children with malignant solid tumors and analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide a reference for developing targeted interventions. Methods: Convenience sampling was used to select 211 caregivers of children with malignant solid tumors in a tertiary grade A hospital in Shanghai from November 2022 to November 2023. The survey was conducted using the general data questionnaire, Simplified Fear of Disease Progression Scale (Caregiver version), Social Support Rating Scale, Simple Coping Style Questionnaire, and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors. Results: The score of fear of disease progression in the caregivers of children with malignant solid tumors was 38.95±9.66. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that caregivers' gender, economic level, negative coping, social support, anxiety were the influencing factors of caregivers' fear of disease progression, which could explain 50.0% of the total variation. Conclusion: The fear of disease progression in the caregivers of children with malignant solid tumors is at a high level. Healthcare professionals should develop targeted intervention strategies according to relevant influencing factors to improve the quality of life of these caregivers.
