Abstract

Abstract: Consultation refers to a one-way collection of patient and public perspectives, which are then considered during the guideline development process. It is a patient involvement strategy particularly suitable for gathering a large number of individual patient views and is key to ensuring that guidelines take patient perspectives into account. Based on existing literature, this article introduced the value of applying consultation strategies in different stages of guideline development, methods for conducting consultations, and analyzed the current application status of consultation strategies in the process of guideline development at home and abroad. It is expected to enhance the patient involvement during guideline development in China.
