Abstract: Objective: To investigate the knowledge, attitude and practice in continuous nursing of patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) among nurses in pain department, and analyze the influencing factors, to provid a basis for formulating the patient's continuous nursing plan and improving the quality of continuous nursing. Methods: A total of 561 nurses from the pain department in hospitals at all levels in China were selected by convenient sampling, and a self-made questionnaire was used to collect the data online. Results: The scores of knowledge, attitude and practice in continuous nursing of patients with DPN among nurses in pain department were 42.17±4.17, 34.95±4.12, and 33.68±5.21, respectively. The results of univariate analysis showed that whether nurses received continuous nursing training, whether departments provided continuous nursing norms, the frequency of nurses providing continuous nursing and the frequency of inter-disciplinary communication had a statistically significant impact on knowledge, attitude and practice (P<0.05). Conclusion: Pain department nurses have positive attitudes on DPN continuous nursing, but their knowledge and behaviour are relative poor, needs to be improved. It is recommended to formulate the standards of continuous nursing and strengthen the special training of nurses to improve the quality of continuous nursing.
