Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of the "Internet+" health coaching technology on patients' upper limb function, self-management ability and quality of life after breast cancer surgery. Methods: Random sampling method was adopted to enroll 112 patients undergoing breast cancer surgery from July to December 2021 in a tertiary hospital in Tianjin. The subjects were divided into the trial group and the control group located on different floors through a random digit table. The control group was given routine care, while the trial group received the "Internet+" health coaching technology on the basis of routine care. Patients' upper arm function, self-management and life quality before and after intervention were compared between the two groups employing the Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand Questionnaire (DASH), the self-management ability questionnaire and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast (FACT-B). Results: After the intervention, the DASH score of the trial group was lower than that of the control group, the scores of the self-management ability and FACT-B in the trial group were higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The "Internet+" health coaching technology can promote the recovery of patients' upper limb function, improve their self-management ability and life quality after breast cancer surgery.
