Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status and influencing factors of safety attitude among clinical nurses, so as to provide reference for optimizing patient safety management measures and ensuring patient safety. Methods: A total of 14,302 nursing staff from 40 hospitals across the country from July to August 2021 participated in the survey. The general information, safety attitude, professional value and coping adaptation ability were investigated. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of safety attitude of nursing staff. Results: The safety attitude score of nursing staff was 122.63±20.27, which was medium level. The score of management perception dimension was the highest, and the score of teamwork was the lowest. The results of multi-factor analysis showed that occupational values, coping adaptation ability, whether to participate in nursing safety training, age, working years, education level, gender, department, position and hospital level were influencing factors of nursing staff safety attitude (P<0.05). Conclusion: The overall level of safety attitude of clinical nurses in China still needs to be improved, especially in the aspect of team cooperation. The safety attitude of nursing staff is affected by occupational values, coping adaptation ability, safety training, education level, position and other factors. Different factors should be paid attention to and targeted intervention measures should be implemented, so as to ensure the quality of nursing and patient safety.
