Abstract: Objective: To analyze the application effect of self-management intervention based on mobile health platform in glaucoma patients undergoing day surgery. Methods: A mobile health platform for glaucoma patients which consists 4 modules of self-management education, self-management feedback, physician-patient communication and outpatient follow-up was constructed. A total of 80 glaucoma patients were randomized assigned into control group and intervention group, receiving either usual care or self-management intervention based on mobile health platform. The disease cognition and self-management behavior were compared before and at the end of 1 month and 3 months after the intervention. Results: The scores of disease cognition in the intervention group after 1 month and 3 months were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total score of self-management behavior in the intervention group after 1 month was significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), while the scores of life adjustment after 1 month and 3 months were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The results of generalized linear mixed model showed that the total scores of disease cognition in the two groups were statistically significant in time effect, grouping effect and interaction effect (P<0.05), the total scores of self-management behavior in the two groups were statistically significant in grouping effect (P<0.05). Conclusion: The self-management intervention based on mobile health platform can effectively improve patients' disease cognition and self-management.
