Abstract: In 2022, the Beijing Nursing Association issued the Clinical Practice Standards for Arterial Blood Gas Analysis in Adults, second edition. The new version of standards was revised on the basis of the 2017 edition of the Clinical Practice Standards for Arterial Blood Gas Analysis, and it has made recommendation adjustments and supplemented the key contents of the arterial blood gas collection process in adults, the quality control of arterial blood gas analysis, and the common complications and treatment of arterial blood collection. It is expected to guide clinical medical staff to correctly understand and use the standards, enhance the nursing ability of caring critically ill patients, ensure the safe treatment of patients and the occupational safety of operators. This article summarizes and interprets the content and updated points.
