Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status quo of follow-up management of Peritoneal Dialysis patients in Jiangsu province. Methods: A convenient sampling method was used to survey 40 hospitals in 13 cities in Jiangsu province in August 2021, using a self-made questionnaire to investigate the size of dialysis centers, follow-up methods, follow-up personnel, follow-up frequency, and follow-up content. Results: A total of 6479 Peritoneal Dialysis patients were followed-up in 40 hospitals. The follow-up methods were diverse. The hospital follow-up frequency met the requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures for Peritoneal Dialysis. The nursing staff responsible for follow-up included 48 full-time Peritoneal Dialysis nurses and 108 part-time Peritoneal Dialysis nurses. The content of follow-up of each hospital was different, but dialysis related indicators and early warning of complications were the focuses. The concern of quality of life and social support was lower. Conclusion: The Peritoneal Dialysis centers of most hospitals in Jiangsu province were under-staffed, and some hospitals had a slight lack of follow-up content. It is recommended to gradually improve the staffing situation, summarize the problems of Peritoneal Dialysis patients in the home dialysis process and the corresponding key follow-up content, and form a fixed module for the follower to obtain core and necessary follow-up indicators in time to provide a basis.
