Summary of the best evidence for monitoring Intra-Abdominal Pressure in critically ill patients

Abstract: Objective: To search, evaluate and summarize the best evidence for monitoring Intra-Abdominal Pressure in critically ill patients. Methods: The relevant evidence of Intra-Abdominal Pressure monitoring in critically ill patients was searched. The quality of the included articles was evaluated and those that met the quality standards was included and summarized. Results: A total of 10 articles were selected, including 3 guidelines, 1 expert consensus, 5 cohort studies, and 1 recommended practice. Totally 30 pieces of evidence on 6 aspects including policy management, method selection, body position and reference zero point, volume and temperature of perfusion fluid, eliminating interference factors, and education and training were finally summarized. Conclusion: The summarized evidence for can be used in clinical practice to promote standardized management of Intra-Abdominal Pressure monitoring in critically ill patients.
