Abstract

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the career success and the related factors of cardiovascular specialized nurses. Methods: A survey was conducted in 298 cardiovascular specialized nurses by using the Chinese version of Career Success Scale (CCSS). Results: The total score of the CCSS was 32.25±6.59. Multivariate regression analysis showed that job position, salary satisfaction, with experience in undertaking specialist nurse education and training programme and continue education programme were the independent influencing factors of career success. Conclusion: The career success of cardiovascular specialized nurses need improvement. It is suggested that the establishment and improvement of proprietary management system for cardiovascular specialist nurses, better professional autonomy are benefit to stimulate the work enthusiasm.
