Abstract: Objective: To identify scientific, sensitive and practical nursing safety quality indicators for neurosurgery, and which will help to evaluate and monitor nursing safety quality in neurosurgery. Methods: Nursing-sensitive and safety quality indicators for neurosurgery were initially identified on the basis of literature researching and clinical data analysis. The indicators were modified using Delphi technique. Results: Fourteen nursing-sensitive safety quality indicators for neurosurgery such as incidence of fall, incidence of falling bed or chair and pressure injury were identified. Both of the positive coefficients in the two rounds of expert consultation were 100%,and the authoritative coefficient was 0.83. After two rounds of expert consultation, the coefficients of variation ranged from 0.00 to 0.22. The coordination coefficient ranged from 0.106 to 0.216. Conclusion: The nursing-sensitive safety quality indicators for neurosurgery on the basis of Delphi technique are scientific and practical, which can be applied to safety quality assessment.
