Abstract: Proper allocation of ICU nurses is important for the care quality and patients' safety, and assessment of nursing workload is a prerequisite for adequate staff allocation. This article reviewed the commonly used ICU nursing workload measurements and compared the characteristics of these tools, so as to provide reference for ICU nursing managers and researchers.
