Abstract: Objective: To develop a set of quality indicators for the quality of extended care. Methods: 2-round of consultation to a panel of 22 experts using Delphi method for the purpose of generating a quality of care evaluation system.Results: A evaluation system for quality of extended care based on Donabedian model was fully developed. The system includes 3 primary indicators, 10 secondary indicators and 44 tertiary indicators.Conclusion: The study improved the quality of established indicators for the extended care are reliable. These quality indicators may be used to strengthen nursing practitioners to focus on their management of patients during transitional care and to identify the needs for improvement.
