Abstract: In the past, people did not attach importance to neonatal pain. This paper has reviewed the definition, origin and mechanism of neonatal pain and the effect of pain on the neonate. It pointed out the importance and necessity of neonatal pain management. Then, this paper analyzed a variety of neonatal pain assessment tools and non-pharmaceutical interventions to provide reference for neonatal pain management.
