Abstract: Premature infants are unable to adapt to the multiple stimuli of external environment because their cranial nerves and important organs are not yet mature, which leads to subsequent developmental disorders. Studies have shown that the implementation of developmental care theory can promote nervous system development in premature infants. Based on the proposal and content of developmental care theory, this paper reviews previous research to demonstrate the clinical effectiveness of developmental care and developmental supportive care interventions in promoting premature infants' neurodevelopmental outcomes, so as to promote the practice of developmental care theory in premature infants and provide guidance for future research.
