Abstract: Objective: To explore the true psychological experience of rehabilitation exercise for patients with Chronic Low Back Pain (CLBP) and kinesiophobia. Methods: We conducted a semi-structured interview with 11 CLBP patients with kinesiophobia by purposive sampling method, and used the Colaizzi analysis method to analyze, induce, and refine themes of interview data. Results: Totally three themes were extracted, including ineffective self-coping and management (change of self-consciousness, negative coping strategies, negating the effect of rehabilitation exercise), excessive burden of disease (psychological burden, economic burden), and weak support systems (insufficient professional rehabilitation supports, lack of psychological support, insufficient family supports). Conclusion: Medical institutions should pay full attention to the self-management of CLBP patients with kinesiophobia, strengthen the whole process of specialized rehabilitation guidance in and out of the hospital, care for patients' psychological problems, and cooperate with family caregivers to enhance patients' psychological and family support, so as to relieve the patients' pain experience and promote the recovery of the disease.
