Abstract: Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCTs) represent an innovative research model that is based on digital technologies for optimizing the design, execution, and management of clinical trials. This review introduces the concept, design, and implementation of DCTs. It also summarizes the specific applications of DCTs in nursing, including psychological interventions, chronic disease management, and symptom management. Furthermore, this review analyzes the current challenges and future implications of DCTs. By promoting the application of DCTs in nursing, it is expected to enhance nursing research efficiency, improve healthcare accessibility, and foster continuity in patient care interventions.
